Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) (Days)

• Days 10-hour shifts, 6:45am-5:15pm (non-consecutive working days, day off random M-F)

• Hourly Pay: $ 36.50
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 2341.00
  
• Weekend Requirements: One weeknight of call every week, 7pm-11pm. One weekend on call per month, rotating between Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7p-7a, and Saturday and Sunday, 7a-7p.
  
• On Call Requirements: One weeknight of call every week, 7pm-11pm. One weekend on call per month, rotating between Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7p-7a, and Saturday and Sunday, 7a-7p.
  
• Nonbillable Hours: 12 hours of initial hours
  
• Travel Policy: Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.
  
• Dress Code: Hospital Provided Scrubs
  

• Keeping patients and their families informed about surgical procedures
  
• Administering medication and using medical equipment under the direction of a surgeon
  
• Responding to sudden changes in patients’ health and managing occasional emergencies
  
• Keeping good records and maintaining patients’ charts
  
• Using basic math skills adequate for dosage calculations
  
• Working with surgeons, medical/surgical nurses and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op
  
• Standing for long periods, lifting moderate weight and working in environments where there may be infectious material
  

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

• Must have 2+ Years of experience
  
• Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, OB Experience preferred
  
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
