The Detox RN/LPN is expected for meet the duties and responsibilities of a RN/LPN in the Alabama Board of Nursing Administrative Code Chapter 610-X-6 Standards of Nursing.
The Detox RN/LPN is responsible for overseeing the withdrawal process from drugs and alcohol. Will work with patients who are experiencing symptoms related to substance abuse, including withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and other issues that may arise during treatment. The role of a detox nurse is not limited to managing withdrawal symptoms; will also provide support and counseling to help patients through their recovery process.
