Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Inova Health System is hiring for an experienced *Registered Nurse *for our *Inova L. J. Murphy’s Children's Hospital's Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. *Our PCICU serves the needs of critically ill infants, children, and adolescents who require specialized heart care. This 12-bed specialized unit is staffed by highly skilled nurses and a team of intensivists from multiple subspecialties, including anesthesiology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric heart surgery, neonatology (newborn care), cardiac critical care, and pulmonology (lung care) and. The unit is expanding to include transplant and device management.

This is a *full-time* (3-12 hour shifts per week), *night shift* (7p-7a) position.

*Requirements:*
* *Experience: *At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Pediatric Critical Care setting. 1 - 2 years of Pediatric *Cardiac *ICU experience strongly preferred.
* *Education*: BSN, MSN or ADN required. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 24 months of state date.
* *Licensure: *BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required, RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
* Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
* Proficient computer skills required.
