Registered Nurse RN Psych - Join a Market Leader

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team is looking for a Psychiatric Nurse to help us with in-office medication administrations (mainly injections), conduct nursing assessments, and provide support to our team’s psychiatrist.

Other duties include:

• Coordinates psychiatric treatment with medical treatment.
• Educate other team members to help them monitor psychiatric symptoms and medication side effects.
• Refers to community physicians for further assessment and treatment.
• Engage in health promotion, prevention, and education activities; and
• Assisting with maintaining and managing our medication room

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of experience in a psychiatric setting, serving clients with mental health, substance abuse or developmental disabilities that demonstrates knowledge the impact they can have on physical health.
• Experience performing technical nursing procedures, administering treatment medications, and developing solutions to clinical operational concerns.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or by endorsement from another state to practice professional nursing.
