We’re seeking licensed Registered Nurses to serve as Tour Coordinators—integral clinical partners who manage patient flow and safety across our inpatient and outpatient nursing units. This role combines hands‑on nursing care with care‐coordination leadership, ensuring timely admissions, discharges, transfers, and emergency support.
Clinical Coordination:
Manage and document admissions, discharges, and intra-/inter‑facility transfers using professional nursing judgment .
Conduct nursing rounds to assess patient needs, staffing levels, and environmental safety; mobilize resources as needed .
Assist with direct patient care during emergencies—apply the nursing process, monitor for critical changes, and communicate with physicians .
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate callbacks and support services (Facilities, Bio‑Med, Lab, Radiology, OR, Transport, Medical Staff) to maintain seamless operations .
Documentation & Reporting: Use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Patient Classification System to log patient status; prepare and forward shift reports to Nursing Administration and leadership.
Standards & Compliance: Maintain competencies in:
Medication administration (IV and venipuncture), pain management, and restraints
HIPAA/confidentiality, EMTALA, AORN/ASPAN/AAMI standards
Active, Unrestricted RN License: Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in any U.S. state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or Territory—and maintain it throughout the contract term.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon award and maintained throughout contract.
Experience:
Minimum of 36 months as a practicing RN
At least 24 months in a care‐coordination, unit‐management, or equivalent clinical role
Health & Immunizations: Fitness‑for‑duty clearance and IHS‑required vaccinations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap/Td, TB testing, influenza, COVID‑19).
Technical Skills: Proficient with computers and EHR systems.
Cultural Competence: Respectful of American Indian/Alaska Native cultures; strong communication and teamwork skills.
Background Check: Must pass federal background investigation (eAPP/FBI fingerprint) per federal requirements.
Uniforms & Lab Coats (per IHS standards)
Personal Medical Instruments (stethoscope, pen‑light, scissors, etc.)
Rotating 12‑hour shifts covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Leave coordination through the Supervisor.
