Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor - PreOp

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for an experienced Peri anesthesia RN for a Full time Unit Supervisor position. Supervisory focus will be on Pre-Op area but will cross function with PACU.

The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.

Located in western Fairfax County, IFOH's Pre-op has 20 bay unit that runs from 0545-1815 daily and the PACU has 26 bays that run from 0730-2230 daily M-F offering a comprehensive range of surgical specialties, including spine; joint replacement; retina; breast; gynecology; general; and bariatric weight loss. We perform over 10,000 surgical cases annually using some of the most advanced technology such as Stryker Mako Robotic-Assisted Joint Procedures, Globus Excelsius Robotic Spine Navigation Platform, OrthAlign Precision Navigation and Medtronic StealthStation Navigation. The units are covered with on-call coverage 2000-0730 on all off shifts, weekend, and holidays.

*Job Requirements:*
* Minimum of one year direct Clinical Registered Nurse experience is required
* More than two years Multi-specialty trained PreOp/PACU nurse is highly desired
* BSN Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, MSN degree preferred\*\*An exception may be granted for RNs who do not have a BSN. Associate Degree RN’s must be able to obtain BSN within one year of hire
* Special training Completion of revised Charge Nurse Workshop within the first 90 days
* Previous leadership course completion preferred

Additional Requirements:
* Work schedule: 4x10 hours shift
* Education: BSN or ADN (If ADN: must complete/obtain BSN within 24 months of start date)
* Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association & VA RN license
