OVERVIEW  
HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City.  We provide compassionate trauma-informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.     


We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Urgent Recovery Center (URC) team. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment and is passionate about providing immediate, compassionate care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.


 


AVAILABLE SHIFTS


Day Shift: 7a - 7p


Night Shift: 7p - 7a


 


ABOUT THE POSITION
As an RN at HOPE’s Urgent Recovery Center, you will deliver primary care nursing services including assessment, medication administration, crisis support, and coordination of care. You will help ensure clients are stabilized in a safe and supportive environment while promoting their recovery and connection to ongoing services.


 


Key responsibilities include:



  • Conducting comprehensive health evaluations and screenings, with a focus on high-risk or chronic conditions

  • Administering prescribed medications and managing medication inventory in accordance with agency protocols

  • Providing health education on medication adherence, diet, hygiene, and chronic disease prevention

  • Collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create and implement recovery-focused treatment plans

  • Coordinating referrals for clients’ benefit eligibility (e.g., Medicaid, SSI, insurance)

  • Delivering crisis intervention and pre-hospital screenings as needed

  • Documenting services using therapeutic, collaborative methods in line with agency standards (same-day documentation)

  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency confidentiality standards



ABOUT THE ROLE


This RN position is a key part of the Urgent Recovery Center’s integrated care team, working in a 24/7 setting to stabilize individuals in acute behavioral health crises. The RN supports both medical and behavioral health interventions and plays an essential role in ensuring safe, timely, and trauma-informed care.



REQUIREMENTS



  • Current Oklahoma RN license

  • Experience working in community-based mental health or behavioral healthcare settings

  • Proficiency in crisis intervention, medication protocols, and chronic disease management

  • Understanding of trauma-informed, culturally competent, and recovery-focused care



SKILLS



  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively in high-pressure situations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems

  • Team-oriented and committed to collaborative, client-centered care



ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Completion of Therapeutic Options (or approved safety training) and annual recertification

  • May be required to obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR and Wellness Coach Certification
