Registered Nurse - Wound Care/Weekends

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to join our team as a Wound Care Nurse. This role is essential in delivering high-quality wound care to residents in our long-term care and skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care and a passion for improving patient outcomes. Position will also support nursing operations on non-wound care days.
Schedule Options:

• Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday Day shift – 8-hour shifts
• Required: Weekend On-Call

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct wound care treatment and assessments for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate staff and residents on wound prevention and care best practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Proven experience in wound care, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Wound care certification preferred but not required.

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing. BSN preferred.

Licenses/Certification  

Current RN Licensure in the State employed.

Valid CPR Certification.

Experience

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
