Wood County Hospital is now accepting applications for a RN in our Obstetrics department. The OB RN provides personal care and professional excellence with the systematic use of the nursing process in providing/directing the care of the neonate and OB/GYN patients.

Job Duties:

• Demonstrates the ability to perform immediate assessment on admission of labor and neonate patients and initial assessments of other patients.
• Performs initial assessment of patients with consideration of their biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education and discharge needs.
• Demonstrates the ability to circulate and recover patients undergoing C-Sections.
• Demonstrates accountability for administering, observing, charting and recording accurately the use of medications/controlled drugs and IV procedures.

Hours: Nights

Shift:   6:45 pm- 7:15 am

Weekend and on-call 

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Education:            

• Graduate from an accredited school or otherwise recognized nursing program. 

Minimum Certification:        

• Licensed RN in the state of Ohio
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required within 90 days of hire.

Minimum Experience:

• 1 year of Acute Care or Labor and Delivery experience required.
