Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized healthcare plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures with precision and care.
• Monitor students' health status (vital signs, progress) and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate students, families, and staff on health management, safety protocols, and wellness strategies.
• Provide emergency care and first aid when needed, ensuring students’ safety at all times.
• Document all care provided in compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and special education staff to support the health and well-being of students.
• Stay informed on best practices in school nursing and special education to enhance care delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RN License in the state of New York.
• 1-2 Years of Nursing Experience with a focus on special education or school nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform nursing procedures independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Self-motivated and organized, capable of working independently in a school setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• CPR and BLS certification (preferred).
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred).
