Senior Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage critical care equipment and resources while maintaining optimal patient care standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical decision-making processes
• Mentor junior staff members and students, serving as a clinical practice role model
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current Virginia State Board of Medicine Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• BLS certification (obtainable within 3 months of employment)
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification (required within first year)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
