Registered Respiratory Therapist

• Schedule: One, 8 Hour Shift per Week
• Contract End Date: 3/14/26 with potential to extend

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and life-support equipment.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests, and oximetry.
• Provide emergency respiratory care, including airway management and CPR support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Educate patients and families on proper respiratory care, equipment use, and self-management techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and patient progress.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies.
• Experience with VISTA (CPRS) Charting System preferred, but not required.
