Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night/Day

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking multiple Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) for a top healthcare client in Roanoke, VA.

These roles offer the chance to join a growing, forward-thinking respiratory care team in a hospital expanding with a new state-of-the-art wing. The RRTs will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across all age groups, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient respiratory care to achieve best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to create and adjust individualized care plans.
• Manage ventilators, administer oxygen therapy, perform airway management, and monitor patient response.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding respiratory therapy techniques and care plans.
• Participate in emergency response situations, including code and rapid response teams.
• Serve as a professional role model and mentor to new staff, students, and clinical team members.

Education

• Associate’s degree and/or certification from a CoARC-accredited school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Prior clinical or acute care respiratory experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Virginia State Board of Medicine.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS required within 3 months of hire; ACLS, NRP, and PALS required within 1 year (as applicable).
