The Regulatory & Compliance Coordinator supports the Cooperative’s regulatory, compliance, and governance functions for both the electric utility and its subsidiary. This position helps ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations by maintaining documentation, supporting filings and audits, and administering regulatory tracking systems. The coordinator works closely with leadership, legal counsel, and operational departments to promote regulatory accountability, reduce risk, support policy development, and ensure accurate maintenance of compliance and contract records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance Coordination
Coordinate compliance activities across departments and support tracking of regulatory deadlines and requirements.
Prepare, update, and maintain regulatory filings, reports, certifications, and related documentation.
Maintain organized records for regulatory compliance, audits, and corrective action plans.
Monitor regulatory changes and assist with evaluating impacts on Cooperative operations, policies, and procedures.
Support internal compliance reviews and regulatory audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests.
Assist with the development, revision, and distribution of policies, procedures, manuals, and governance documentation.
Support risk-management and internal-control initiatives as assigned.
Coordinate employee training related to regulatory or compliance requirements.
Maintain communication with regulatory agencies as directed by leadership.
Provide compliance support for board documentation, filings, and governance processes.
Maintain records for subpoenas, consumer complaints, and data disclosures, including documentation on response timelines.
Contract & Software Management
Maintain the Cooperative’s contract-tracking or contract-lifecycle-management software, ensuring all contracts, amendments, renewals, deadlines, and documentation are entered accurately and kept up to date.
Track contract expiration dates, renewal periods, service terms, and required notice windows; provide timely reminders to appropriate departments.
Ensure contract files are organized, current, and properly archived according to retention requirements.
Coordinate with departments and legal counsel to obtain updated agreements, certificates of insurance, and compliance-related vendor documents.
Generate reports on contract status, renewals, compliance gaps, and upcoming deadlines for leadership review.
Assist in standardizing contract templates, naming conventions, and documentation workflows.
Subsidiary Compliance Support
Maintain regulatory and compliance documentation specific to subsidiary.
Track and organize grant-funding requirements, reporting deadlines, and documentation standards.
Assist with compliance activities tied to federal, state, or local programs, including performance and financial reporting.
Coordinate required documentation with leadership and external partners involved in subsidiary operations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Compliance, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
Experience in a regulated environment (utility, telecom, finance, or government) preferred.
Experience supporting regulatory compliance, legal documentation, or grant administration is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and documentation practices.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and summarize requirements clearly.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
