The Regulatory Compliance Director will be responsible for guiding our Trade Compliance approach through staying current on regulations, identifying the appropriate actions needed to remain or become compliant and submit appropriate documentation to proper teams and agencies with consistent follow through.
Major Position Responsibilities:
Contributes to the strategy of the organizations regulatory compliance function.
Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws.
Oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes.
Develops risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
Evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations.

Has responsibility for the function and reports to the site/ SBU head (and/ or to a Home Office functional leader).
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and 10-12 years of relevant Experience
OR
Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &/or Experience
Ability to work as part of a team.
Decision-making skills, problem management, oral and written communication skills, problem/situation analysis, analytical thinking, and st
rategic thinking.
Knowledge in corporate communications, internal audit, internal controls, regulatory environment, regulatory reporting, oganizational policy development, compliance risk assessment, and governance and risk & compliance software
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Import and Export knowlege and experience is preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

or very little travel likely .
