Regulatory Compliance Risk Legal Specialist

Primary Purpose Legal Compliance Processor:

To efficiently process all Tax Liens, Levies, Garnishments, Order to Withhold & Subpoena’s with confidentiality daily. Assist branch personnel with inquiries. From time-to-time court appearance may be required to represent the bank as keeper of the records.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $42,500 - $53,000, based on the role, market, internal equity and candidate qualifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and accurate support to the branches as needed


• Provide confident responses to members as needed on legal orders


• Process in a timely, accurate and confidential manner all legal orders received daily (liens, levies, garnishments & subpoenas)


• Keep up with the laws that govern each type of legal as to keep the bank in compliance with processing


• Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:

• Previous Banking Experience


• Computer skills in Word & Excel


• Strong Problem-Solving skills


• Possess a team player attitude and interacts well with others


• Punctuality is a must


• Ability to perform repetitive manual functions


• Positive attendance record


• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills


• Outstanding organizational skills


• Enjoys very detailed research, and documentation

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Experience in legal order processing


• Previous Bank Operations experience


• 2 years of Insight experience

Physical Requirements:

• Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.


• Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.


• Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
