Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is looking for a Regulatory Health Scientist to join our vibrant team in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will be pivotal in maintaining and applying extensive, current expertise on FDA regulations concerning drugs, vaccines, and medical devices, particularly in the context of public health preparedness and emergency response. Additionally, you will provide critical clinical, scientific, regulatory, and technical expertise on the use of medical products for various threat agents.

Regulatory Health Scientist Responsibilities Include: Responsible for providing technical consultation and assistance to Federal, State, local and other health agencies concerning various aspects of poliovirus containment. Design, oversee, implement, and conduct major scientific surveys/studies or projects to identify and solve public health problems. Develop and or uses innovative methodologies and techniques. Search, synthesize, and interpret information relevant to public health. Provide scientific advice and technical assistance to national, state and local health agencies and to various public, private, and/or nonprofit organizations. Collaborate with CDC subject matter experts and external partners to effectively facilitate and coordinate the NAC's national survey and provides technical assistance. Oversee all the components of planning, design, analysis, and implementation of the national survey, such as data collection and survey data archival. Provide advice on survey strategies and provide recommendations on the improvement of the survey and propose solutions to problems relating to the survey. This includes process flow, standard operating procedures, coordination, and implementation of the survey. Apply knowledge of analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information for the survey. Provide consultative services and technical assistance to public health laboratories, academic institutions, private companies, and to Federal, State, local and other health agencies as it relates to poliovirus containment and the national survey. Prepare scientific and other articles and technical reports for publication. Make presentations at national meetings. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Regulatory Health Scientist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Graduate level degree or higher in a science discipline, public health, or health profession such pharmacy or nursing. At least 3 years of relevant scientific regulatory experience pertaining to medical products with emphasis on public health preparedness and emergency response. Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have and maintain an active SECRET Clearance. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
