Reports To: Director of Rehab Services

Status: 80 hours per two week pay period

Shift: Monday - Friday
Job Schedule: Full time
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Job Summary

• Patient Scheduling: Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal time management and minimizing scheduling conflicts. 
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments and assist with any insurance-related questions or concerns. 
• Miscellaneous Administrative Support: Perform other office-related tasks as needed, including faxing, filing, purchasing, and other duties as requested by director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred). 
• Previous experience in an office or healthcare setting, preferably in physical therapy or medical office administration. 
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality. 
• Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus but not required. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Knowledge of office equipment and basic computer software (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.). 
• Familiarity with insurance verification, billing, and coding processes is a plus.
