Description

The Rehab Therapy Technician performs a variety of direct patient care activities for a designated nursing unit. Assists medical and nursing staff with procedures and/or tests and assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's).

Requirements

Education: 

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

Licenses/Certification: 

- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment preferred.

Experience: 

- Six months experience in a long term care environment preferred.

Essential Functions

- Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.

- Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, and departmental and interdepartmental relationships.

- Assist with setting patients up for therapy.

- Perform a variety of restorative exercises with residents

- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 

- Demonstrate concise oral and written communication skills with rehabilitation staff, facility staff, patients and families

-  Knowledge of HIPAA.
