Job Description:
Responsible for assisting in implementing patient care activities as directed by physical therapists. Supports therapists in delivering treatment plans and ensuring patient compliance with prescribed exercises. Maintains a clean and organized environment, manages supplies, and processes necessary documentation. Coordinates with team members to facilitate efficient clinic operations. Ensures high standards of patient care and departmental support.
• Completes all annual competency requirements within designated deadlines.
• Provides safe, competent, age-specific patient care in accordance with national and departmental standards and policies.
• Documents care provided, including patient and family education, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responds effectively to patient and family concerns.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members and communicates relevant information to ensure quality care.
• Provides or coordinates specialty orientation, training, and education for new employees, staff, and students.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assists in resource assessment, process improvement, and departmental projects to enhance patient care and services.
• Meets departmental productivity standards and completes required administrative tasks, including timely charge entry.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training in a designated technical area
0–2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
