Assists with the preparation and submission of accurate and timely cost reports as required by Medicare, Medicaid, and other State or Federal agencies.
Coordinates Medicare, Medicaid, and other State or Federal agency cost report audits, providing supporting documentation, reviewing audit adjustments, and responding to audit findings.
Updates, reviews, and maintains supporting documentation for the Medicare and Medicaid Uniform Contractual Worksheet-Third Party Settlement templates according to standardized policies and procedures.
Reviews the reasonableness of hospital interim reimbursement rates and special payments received from Medicare and Medicaid and follows up as appropriate.
Discusses hospital third-party settlement results with hospitals’ financial leadership.
Maintains a working knowledge of current laws and regulations of the Federal Medicare and State Medicaid programs, including changes affecting hospital reimbursement.
Completes special projects assigned by the department manager or director within the requested time frame.
Performs other duties as assigned.
