An Esperanza Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative

Esperanza’s Faith and Capacity Initiatives department is in search for Relational Parenting Facilitators (RPF) for the Esperanza en la Casa Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative. We require individuals who reflect Esperanza’s values and possess the skillsets mentioned in the description below. The person must be bi-lingual (Spanish and English), has experience in engaging the Hispanic community of faith, including Pastors and Youth Ministers. Professional teaching is preferred but not required.

Program Purpose

The purpose of Esperanza’s Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative is to help interested parents and caregivers share their faith and values with their children by accompanying them and local congregations through contextualized and relevant education, resources, and inspiration.

Program Goals

Goal 1: To support parents and caregivers by developing and providing resources to help them learn adapt and embrace time-honored practices to share their Christian faith and values with their children.

Goal 2: To support congregations and other Christian organizations by developing and providing resources, and educational opportunities that will create and/or strengthen ministries to help interested parents and caregivers share their Christian faith and values with their children.

Role of the Relational Parenting Facilitator

The program Relational Parenting Facilitator will work under the direction of the program Training and Curriculum Developer and Esperanza staff. The RPF will be trained by Esperanza staff on the Relational Parenting curriculum. The RPF will be responsible to work with their assigned church audience to provide a high-quality learning environment for parents participating in the program. They will then facilitate twelve (12), 90-minute sessions in two rounds. The twelve (12) sessions will be conducted in two (2) rounds, the first six (6) sessions during the Spring, and the second round of six (6) sessions in the Fall. The RPF will participate in post facilitation meetings with Esperanza staff, including the program evaluator.

The Relational Parenting Facilitator position is a contracted, off-site position. They will be responsible for performing facilitation and report to the Project Director(s) and the Director of Faith and Capacity Initiatives.

Scope of Work

Esperanza Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative – Relational Parenting Facilitator

As part of the Esperanza Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative, the Relational Parenting Facilitator will administer the implementation and contribute to the scope of work described below:

Training– this process will be done in collaboration with Esperanza staff to ensure that the Relational Parenting curriculum and training methods are understood and implemented.

  • Attend the trainer of trainers training designed to equip the facilitator with the relational parenting curriculum, training methods, and best practices in facilitation.
  • Trainer of Trainers event will be on the evening of Thursday, April 9th, and all day Friday, April 10th, 2026
  • The deadline for completion will be April 10th, 2026.

Facilitation

  • Work with Esperanza Staff on training methods to be implemented.
  • Work with the Esperanza Staff on facilitating a 6-week Relational Parenting course for the Esperanza en la Casa Program at the hosting congregation/organization site.
  • The 6-week Relational Parenting course will commence May 11th, 2026, for the Spring sessions, and September 14th, 2026, for the Fall sessions.
  • The deadline for completion will be June 19, 2026, for the Spring sessions, and October 24, 2026, for the Fall sessions.

Reporting

  • The Relational Parenting Facilitator will note lessons learned from their facilitations and provide feedback to the Training and Curriculum Developer & Esperanza staff.
  • The deadline for completion would be July 19th, 2026, for the Spring sessions, and November 30, 2026, for the Fall sessions.
