Job Description - Relationship Manager

AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We are in search of a Relationship Manager l, ll, or lll to join our Credit Resolution department in Tulare, California. Candidates located near our Bakersfield, Templeton, or Tempe branch locations may be considered. This full-time position reports to the SVP, Credit Resolution and works with internal lenders and member-borrowers whose accounts need extra support, restructuring and/or collection.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Compensation Information
The base salary range for this position is:
Level I: $63,000 - $109,000; bonus at target is 12% of salary
Level II: $69,000 - $137,000; bonus at target is 15% of salary
Level III: $85,000 - $173,000; bonus at target is 20% of salary
*Geographic zone A, B, or C and salary will be determined based on location
Job Requirements
Assist in the rehabilitation and collection of credits in the Credit Resolution portfolio of adversely graded loans and non-ledger assets in the most timely and cost-effective manner.
Provide guidance to organization staff in dealing with deteriorating credits, drafting agreements and borrower written communications.
Exercise credit risk assessment and management on loans within area of responsibility.
Conduct and complete complex credit analysis while continuing to develop knowledge of credit and financing alternatives for both standard and complex credits.
Develop and maintain a significant professional presence throughout the assigned territory.
Generally, requires at least three years' related experience
Proven understanding of credit processing and servicing activities, accounting principles and practices, credit analysis, credit administration, monitoring and reporting
Knowledge of credit and financing alternatives and borrower's rights
Proven decision-making, negotiating and influencing skills
Solid computer skills, including MS Office applications and financial analysis software
Ability to travel to perform certain required duties
Preferred Requirements
Agricultural background
Experience with agricultural credit
Knowledge of AgWest policies and procedures
Experience with AgWest products and services and how they are delivered
