Relationship Specialist- Clean Energy & Public Sector Banking

The Relationship Specialist supports the Clean Energy and Public Sector Banking Divisions in the efficient management and growth of the deposit portfolio. The role serves as a responsive, dependable point of coordination for clients, prospects, Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Business Development Officers, Cash Management, and other Bank departments. The Relationship Specialist helps deliver exceptional client experience by managing day-to-day service requests accurately, communicating clearly, organizing multiple priorities, and following each request through completion.

Essential Functions

•  Serve as a primary day-to-day service contact for assigned clean energy and public sector clients, responding promptly and professionally by telephone, email, and in person.
• Provide high-quality customer service by listening carefully, clarifying client needs, setting expectations, and maintaining ownership of requests through resolution.
• Support Relationship/Portfolio Managers with deposit portfolio administration, client onboarding, account opening documentation, signature card updates, account maintenance, authorized signer changes, and related service requests.
• Coordinate with Cash Management and other Bank teams on treasury management services, including commercial online banking, ACH, online wire transfers, bill pay, Remote/Mobile Deposit Capture, Positive Pay, and business credit/debit cards.
• Prepare, review, route, and track client documents and internal forms, ensuring information is complete, accurate, properly authorized, and submitted within required timeframes.
• Maintain organized client records, request logs, follow-up items, and supporting documentation so that outstanding matters are visible and completed timely.
• Prioritize a high volume of emails, requests, deadlines, and follow-up items while providing status updates to clients and Relationship/Portfolio Managers and Business Development Officers.
• Act as a liaison among clients, Relationship/Portfolio Managers, Cash Management, Operations, Compliance, and other Bank departments to facilitate timely and accurate service.
• Assist with new client transitions and implementation activities to help ensure a smooth, well-coordinated onboarding experience.
• Support deposit account reviews, service analyses, banking proposals, sales presentations, client meeting preparation, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain working knowledge of the Bank’s deposit, cash management, and related products and identify appropriate resources or solutions based on client needs.
• Research and resolve routine account or service issues; escalate irregular, sensitive, or recurring matters to the appropriate Relationship Manager or management contact.
• Identify recurring service issues and recommend practical improvements to processes, communication, documentation, or training.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable Federal and State regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Minimum of two years of related experience in banking, financial services, customer service, client support, or a comparable detail-intensive environment.
• Knowledge of bank operations and business deposit accounts preferred.
• Knowledge of cash management or treasury management products and services is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to manage sensitive or time-critical requests with professionalism.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, prioritization, documentation, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment within established procedures, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
