This position will be in Rolling Meadows, IL and will support the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) product line. A successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem reliability \u0026 maintainability (R\u0026M) performance requirements and ensuring that R\u0026M program requirements are achieved.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Perform reliability predictions in accordance with industry standards.\n * Perform reliability and maintainability analysis such as Failure, Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).\n * Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations in accordance with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) processes.\n\n\n\nCompetencies for Success:\n\n * Good oral and written communication skills.\n * Ability to manage time and multi-task.\n * Ability to solve problems.\n * Ability to drive projects and processes.\n\n\n\nThis position can be filled at the Reliability Engineer Level 2 or Reliability Engineer Level 3 (Principal) based on specific requirements.\n\nThis position will be full-time, on-site at our Rolling Meadows, IL location.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2:\n\n * Bachelor of Science from an accredited college/university with 2 years of experience OR Master of Science with 0 years of experience.\n * Must have experience in a Systems Engineering discipline.\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3:\n\n * Bachelor of Science from an accredited college/university with 5 years of experience; OR Master of Science with 3 years of experience; OR PhD in Science with 1 year of experience.\n * Must have experience in a Systems Engineering discipline.\n * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Degree in Electrical, Computer, or related engineering discipline.\n * Understanding of electrical components, modes of operation, and failure modes.\n * Experience in a Reliability and Maintainability Engineering discipline.\n * Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
