Reliability Engineer - mining

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring equipment issues and propose solutions to minimize downtime.
  

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies that ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
  

• Supervise contractors in compliance with safety regulations.
  

• Evaluate equipment specifications and design modifications that align with existing manufacturing capabilities.
  

• Use CAD and other engineering software to design or improve equipment and processes.
  

• Plan and execute capital and expense projects, including budgeting, contractor selection, and project oversight.
  

• Provide technical insight into manufacturing methods, materials, and process improvements.
  

• Analyze performance data for new and existing equipment and suggest improvements.
  

• Stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  

• Assist in the design and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs.
  

• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  

• 8–10 years of engineering experience with strong electrical and mechanical expertise.
  

• Reliability certification preferred.
  

• Manufacturing and CMMS experience preferred.
  

• Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance or operations preferred.
  

• Familiarity with federal mining regulations (MSHA).
  

• Experience with mine ventilation systems, shaft maintenance, or material handling systems a plus.
