Relief Nursing Supervisor - PRN

Description

• Ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on assigned nursing units, in accordance with the philosophy, policies, proce­dures, and program plans of the hospital; ensures patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education standards are followed.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of growth and develop­ment to assess each patient's age specific needs and plans age specific treat­ment and care.
• Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school. 
• Current Illinois licensure 
• Bachelor's degree preferred 
• CPR certifica­tion and ACLS/PALS re­quired. 
• Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience. 
• Demonstrated administra­tive/supervisory competence.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge in assigned nursing areas.
• 2 - 5 years RN experience required.

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. 

Physical Requirements:

• Work is of moderate demand. 
• Routine lifting requirements of less than 25 pounds. 
• Standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching re­quired. 
• Occasional lifting may be required to assist with and/or transport patients. 
• Works inside. 
• May be exposed to communicable diseases.
