▼PayPay金融戦略本部の紹介　Introduction to the PayPay Financial Business Strategy Division

PayPayをNo1のFintech企業に。という全社のミッションを達成するため、PayPayアプリの上でお金にまつわるすべて（「つかう」以外に「ためる」「ふやす」「かりる」「そなえる」「かんりする」）のユースケースを創り上げていく実行部隊です。 スマホファーストな金融サービスのUIUXを発明していくことにもなりますので、大手金融機関での新規事業開発を経験されていた方や、海外での新規事業に携わっていた方、データ領域で専門性を持っている方など経験やスキル・視点は様々なメンバーで構成されています。現状の金融サービスをより良くしていきたいという強い情熱を持った人と一緒に働きたいと思っています。

◎組織構成：現在の金融戦略本部は20代後半～40代後半の総勢50名ほどで構成されております。部内に10名弱のデータアナリスト、データサイエンティストも所属しています。

To achieve the company-wide mission of making PayPay the No. 1 fintech company, we are the execution team responsible for creating all aspects of money-related use cases ("use," "save," "increase," "borrow," "prepare," "manage") on the PayPay app. As we inventing smartphone-first financial service UI/UX, our team consists of members with diverse experiences, skills, and perspectives, including those with experience in new business development at major financial institutions, involvement in new business ventures overseas, and expertise in the data field. PayPayはNo1のFintech企業を目指し、新しい金融の在り方を世の中に発信していきます。
そのためには、AI・データ活用組織としての成熟も不可欠であると考えています。それは、今後の世界で全てのユーザーにより良い金融体験を提供するためにAI技術は必ず中心的な役割を果たすためです。

機械学習技術を活用したこれまでのプロジェクトの例として、2024年3月26日に提供を開始した「PayPay資金調達」があります。今後も、AI・データ関連技術を活用し、より良い、新しい金融体験を提供していきます。

しかしながら、ミッションクリティカルなシステムの中枢にAI技術を使うにあたって、AIシステムには多くの要件が求められます。ビジネス要件を満たし、機械学習タスクにおいて高いパフォーマンスを示すだけではなく、「お金」や「ユーザーデータ」を扱うシステムとして高い信頼性が求められます。特に、不確実性の高いAIシステムの信頼性を保証することはチャレンジングな課題です。MLOpsの実践をはじめとして、新しい金融事業を支えるAI・データ活用基盤の立ち上げと成熟化に熱意をもって取り組んでいただける方に来ていただきたいと考えています。

To achieve this, we believe that maturity as an AI and data utilization organization is essential. AI technology will play a central role in providing better financial experiences for all users in the future world.

An example of projects utilizing machine learning technology is "PayPay Shikin Chotatsu" launched on March 26, 2024. We will continue to utilize AI and data-related technologies to provide better and new financial experiences.

However, using AI technology in the core of mission-critical systems requires meeting many requirements. Not only must it meet business requirements and demonstrate high performance in machine learning tasks, but it also requires high reliability as a system handling "money" and "user data." Ensuring the reliability of AI systems with high uncertainty is a challenging task.
We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about launching and maturing AI and data utilization platforms to support new financial businesses, starting with MLOps practices.

 Although your department will be in the Financial Strategy Division, we would like you to play a broad role in PayPay in the mid- to long-term, and we will consider future transfers or dual assignments in accordance with your wishes.

機械学習エンジニアとして、AI・機械学習技術を活用しPayPayやグループ各社における金融サービスの開発を加速する役割を担っていただきます。（テックリード相当）

As a machine learning engineer, you will play a role in accelerating the development of financial services at PayPay and group companies using AI and machine learning technologies. (Equivalent to Tech Lead)

• 機械学習を活用した金融サービスの製品化に向けて、社内のエンジニア・データサイエンティストのチームとともに開発を行います。プロジェクト初期のビジネス要件定義・jupyterなどでのプロトタイピングフェーズから参画し、製品化に向けた本開発フェーズに向けて機械学習エンジニアの視点でプロジェクトを円滑に進めます。


• ビジネス上の問題解決のためのソフトウェア要件および、機械学習システム特有の品質要件を定義し、チーム開発方針を決定します。


• コードレビュー、テストなど、効率化・品質向上のために必要な開発者文化を自ら推進し、チームや会社全体に根付かせます。また、単一のプロジェクト・単一のチーム活動にとどまらず、PayPayにおけるMLOpsの成熟度を継続的に高めるべく、主体的に活動します。

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborating with internal engineers and data scientists to develop financial services utilizing machine learning. 


• Defining software requirements for solving business problems and quality requirements specific to machine learning systems.


• Promoting a developer culture for efficiency and quality improvement, such as code reviews and testing, and actively working to enhance the maturity of MLOps at PayPay beyond individual projects or teams.
