Job Description - Account Executive - PE & Consulting Focus

About Our Client:
Our client is a modern survey programming company that empowers consultants and investors to get deep insights faster. They specialize in time-critical market research surveys, enabling clients to quickly build surveys and access actionable, high-quality data. Their fully remote team spans over 40 cities worldwide, and their leadership comes from top consulting and investment backgrounds.

Position Overview:
 As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by hunting and closing new business opportunities. This is a true individual contributor role with full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals. The role is hunter-heavy, with approximately 80% hunting and 20% farming, focusing on consulting and private equity clients. The ideal candidate is motivated, autonomous, and has proven experience in primary research sales, including qualitative interviews or quantitative surveys, rather than selling secondary reports or syndicated data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate leads, build pipelines, and close deals with consulting firms, private equity clients, and other target sectors.
  • Identify client needs and position our client’s platform as the solution for custom survey programming and primary research challenges.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Represent the company at industry events and client meetings, traveling up to 25% of the time.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong track record in consulting and/or private equity sales.
  • Experienced in primary market research, qualitative interviews, or quantitative surveys.
  • Skilled at full-cycle sales, including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
  • Highly self-motivated, autonomous, and comfortable in a hunter-heavy role.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
