You will work with the Controller, Finance Team and entire eLuma team to keep building and scaling a solution. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) estimates that 45% of individuals with mental illness don’t get treatment they need, the National Institute of Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) reports that 1 in 12 have disorders related to voice, speech, language or swallowing. What’s more, as the Baby Boomers continue to age, the need for skilled therapists in all disciplines will continue to increase. The Accountant is part of the Finance Team and will require communication with customers, vendors, as well as internal eLuma departments. The role will focus on monitoring expenses, helping with the month-end close, budgets, and improving processes in finance. 

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Enter/allocate credit card charges in Quickbooks


2. Process vendor invoices after approval


3. Assist with monitoring Billing email inbox


4. Supporting Internal and external audits


5. Proficiency in Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet, and Reconciliation


6. Help produce annual and monthly financial reports


7. Help prepare budgets


8. Help  analyze trends in financial data


9. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.


10. Perform other duties as assigned.
    

About You:

• Self-starter, problem-solver, and able to work independently to meet deadlines

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills


• Excellent organizational skills

• Proactively search and find solutions to improve processes and data accuracy


• Intermediate to Advanced Excel proficiency

Requirements:

• Associate's degree, or previous relevant experience required 


• Prior progressive work experience in finance/accounting preferred.


• Familiarity with the education, special education, and/or mental health industries, preferred.


• Ability to commute 1-2 times a week to our main office in Lehi, UT preferred


• Ability to travel up to 20% for team meetings, conferences, events, etc.
