REMOTE AI/ML Python Developer

Job Description

An employer seeking Software Developers located remotely and/or at Aberdeen Proving Grounds,

Responsibilities:

* Under minimal direction, performs as a fully experienced Software Developer in design, development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or providing complex enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand and to develop resolution of software problems. Assists in the training of less experienced software development staff and may act as a team leader on less complex projects.

* Significant understanding of the Python language is preferred.

* General understanding of multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, C/C++, JavaScript, VHDL, etc) and deep experience with one or more languages to design, implement and test secure software applications for desktop, web, mobile, and/or embedded systems.

* Maintains a strong background in modern web development and effective database management.

* Conducts extensive software testing developing test plans & test case scenarios to maximize the assurance of the code.

* Utilizes sound SW Configuration Management (CM) to capture & track updates for an existing SW product and to maintain a data repository of code functions & objects.

* Develops effective and defect free SW technical documentation for each SW product while ensuring all SW applications are well commented and documented.

* Develops innovative SW applications that improve & streamline internal lab testing capabilities & processes extensively using code reuse & agility principles.

* Leads a team in developing multiple SW applications from start to finish while providing effective guidance to team members and conducts effective program management.

Skills and Requirements

Uncleared willing and able to get Secret clearance

9+ years of Python language development experience

Experience with FULL LIFECYCLE model creation and operation

Product or platform AI experience

AWS Sagemaker, MLFlow, Cubeflow or similar tool experience

Experience in an Agile development work environment Candidates that come from a small or start up environment that has worn multiple hats null
