Air Force T-6 Training Analyst Consultant

SAIC is seeking a T-6 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Air Force Customer. 

(This is a part-time/hourly position, working roughly 20 hrs a week.  Position is fully remote but will involve routine travel.)

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support course training analysis and development of courseware and syllabi to improve current Air Force T-6 training across all areas of T-6 airframe use including Pilot Instructor Training and remote pilot training with an eye on future training requirements, training methods, and training aircraft.

This individual will be responsible for:

• Coordinating with analysis and instructional design team members to effectively gather, assess, and report training needs analysis results to stakeholders.


• Providing T-6 pilot SME input and QA for instructional design and training analysis to ensure accurate and complete documents are gathered and assessed for analysis.


• Collaborating with team to develop, direct, plan and evaluate training programs or activities to meet customer analysis objectives.


• Collaborating with customer and internal team to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. 


• Advising on creating T-6 and related course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/ or web-based training (WBT).

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in the T-6 in USAF flying training
• Experience as an aviation academic instructor and as an instructor pilot (IP)
• Experience and/or familiarity with RPA training (as it relates to T-6) 
• Experience in training analysis and instructional design processes
• Experience and familiarity with USAF flying training, especially at the undergraduate (UPT) level
• Bachelor's and Eighteen (18) years or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
