Analytics & Reporting Specialist

smartdept. is searching for an Analytics & Reporting Specialist for a growth and transformation consultancy serving ecommerce, retail, and DTC brands. This is a fully remote, ongoing freelance contract opportunity.

You'll set up tracking and build the reporting that marketing teams use to make decisions, working alongside senior growth leads.

What You'll Do:

• Set up and maintain GA4 properties and events


• Implement tracking and tags in Google Tag Manager


• Build custom dashboards in Looker Studio or similar tools


• Pull and clean data across ad platforms and analytics


• Create recurring performance reports


• Spot trends and share clear takeaways with the team

What You'll Need:

• Hands-on experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager


• Experience building marketing dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar


• Strong spreadsheet skills


• Ability to explain data in plain language


• Comfort using AI tools to work faster


• Clear, reliable communication

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Ecommerce tracking and Shopify analytics


• Ad platform reporting for Google and Meta


• SQL or BigQuery


• Server-side tagging
