Associate Attorney Divorce and Family Law

We are looking to bring onto our team a powerful attorney experienced.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience exclusively in a divorce and family law setting;
• Admission to the New York State Bar (Admission to Connecticut State Bar a plus) with membership in good standing;
• Demonstrated expertise in New York family law statutes, regulations, and legal principles;
• Excellent legal writing skills;
• Ability to manage 20+ complex cases at the same time;
• Detail oriented;
• Compassionate and empathetic towards Clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to Clients facing various types of Matrimonial and Family Law matters, most notably: Uncontested divorce, contested divorce, child custody petitions, surrogacy contracts and pre-birth orders, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child support modification;
• Preparation and drafting of legal documents;
• Conduct legal research;
• Continued legal learning through participation in CLE, outside research, and Firm-sponsored educational workshops;
• Strict adherence to Attorney-Client confidentiality;
• Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude with clients, opposing counsels, Courts, and co-workers.
