Job Description - Associate Clinician/Therapist (APCC, AMFT, ACSW)

Job Overview
We are dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples,

and families within our community. By emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and evidence-
based practices, we aim to significantly impact the lives of our clients positively. As a

clinician, your role will involve empowering clients to pursue healthier and more fulfilled
lives. This position may necessitate collaboration with Enhanced Care Management (ECM)
for clinical consultation as required to address members' psychosocial needs effectively.
Utilizing clinical judgment and critical thinking skills, the clinician will be responsible for
developing comprehensive mental health care plans.

Required:
• Must maintain a current license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as
an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social
Worker (ACSW), OR Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)
• Computer skills and proficiency in office suites (Microsoft Office and Google),
Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Spreadsheets), operating system (Windows),
communication and collaboration (Gmail).
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients and collaborating effectively with
co-workers.
• Effective communication and listening abilities.
• Proficiency in establishing rapport promptly.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
Core Responsibilities:
• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
• Interviews patients and conducts diagnostic assessments to create treatment and
recovery plans for them and their families.
• Engages in the intake process by conducting interviews with patients and/or their
family members to gather information about family, psychosocial, employment,
medical, and mental health treatment history.
• Offers crisis intervention, treatment, case management, referrals, and other related
mental health care services to patients and their families.

• Participates in the development of treatment plans designed to address mental,
emotional, and family disorders and dysfunction.
• Provides ongoing clinical assessment, treatment planning, and clinical treatment
for patients and families.
• Available to participate in case conceptualization meetings with the Enhanced Care
Management (ECM) team as required.
• Prepares and maintains clinical documentation, in addition to adhering to HIPAA
regulations.
• Completes administrative tasks and meets documentation deadlines promptly.
• Collaboration with case management, administration, and management teams.
• Participates in clinical supervision and maintains supervision log.
• Respond promptly via email, phone, instant messaging; maintain punctuality and
professionalism.
• A commitment to offering mental health services through telehealth, including
phone and video calls, while adhering to mandated reporter protocols.
• Candidates should be capable of performing tasks autonomously with limited
supervision.
Language Skills:
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish or Arabic preferred.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, marriage
and family therapy, social work, or counseling.
• Possession of an active, current, and clear registration with the California Board of
Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
• Must be a mental health professional as an Associate Clinical Social Worker
(ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), Associate Marriage and
Family Therapist (AMFT).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
