Associate Technical Writer

Position Summary

As an Associate Technical Writer, you’ll support the documentation efforts for the Vasion Print product line. In this entry-level role, you’ll work closely with senior writers and product teams to learn the ropes of product documentation—researching, writing, and maintaining content that helps our customers succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their technical writing career to gain experience in SaaS documentation, topic-based authoring, and cross-functional team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technical writers in creating and maintaining user documentation for Vasion products
• Learn and apply topic-based authoring best practices using our content management system (CMS)
• Help update existing documentation for accuracy and consistency across versions
• Work with product managers, designers, and developers to gather technical details
• Contribute to release notes and other product-related content under guidance
• Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines
• Participate in documentation planning meetings and team reviews
• Support other writing or editing tasks as needed by the documentation team

• Degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, Information Design, or a related field
• Strong written communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• Interest in software, SaaS, or technical subjects, and willingness to learn technical concepts
• Familiarity with basic documentation tools (such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or Markdown)
• Ability to take direction, receive feedback, and work as part of a collaborative team
• Previous internship or coursework in technical writing (preferred but not required)
• Exposure to tools like MadCap Flare, Jira, Confluence, or CMS platforms is a plus
