Automation Tester

We are looking for an Automation Tester for a remote freelance assignment with a global pharmaceutical company based in Prague.

You will define the testing strategy and automation approach for a regulated platform, design and maintain automated test scripts, and make sure testing documentation meets GMP/GXP requirements. This role is suited for someone who combines hands-on test automation experience with an understanding of validated systems in the pharmaceutical or regulated environment.

What you will do

You will be responsible for automated testing across the platform, including strategy, execution, documentation, and defect management.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Defining the testing strategy and automation approach for the platform.
  


• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
  


• Ensuring test coverage across key platform functionalities.
  


• Executing automated tests and analyzing results.
  


• Managing defects from identification through resolution.
  


• Maintaining clear documentation of test cases, scripts, test results, and defects.
  


• Preparing and maintaining GMP/GXP-compliant testing documentation.
  


• Working closely with developers, QA specialists, and business analysts.
  


• Supporting software quality in a validated systems environment.
  

Requirements

• Experience with automation testing and automated test script development.
  


• Scripting experience in Python.
  


• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA and X-Ray.
  


• Working knowledge of GMP/GXP requirements.
  


• Experience with validated systems or regulated software environments.
  


• Ability to analyze test results and follow defects through to resolution.
  


• Clear written documentation skills.
  

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of DSCS and DPTM.
  


• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP/GXP-regulated industry.
  


• Performance testing experience.
  


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  


• Relevant testing or QA certifications.
