Job Description - Cardiologist

This role is for one of our clients

Compensation: $250-$300 per hour

We are seeking fellowship-trained Cardiologists to support a project in collaboration with one of the world’s leading AI research laboratories. This engagement focuses on evaluating and enhancing the ability of advanced large language models to interpret complex, real-world ECG/EKG cases.

Applications are welcome from cardiologists across all subspecialties, with particular demand for experts trained in Electrophysiology and Clinical Cardiology.

In this position, you will apply your clinical expertise to develop high-quality ECG interpretations and assess AI-generated analyses. The work will emphasize advanced diagnostic reasoning, subtle pattern recognition, and complex clinical scenarios encountered in real-world cardiology practice.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop gold-standard ECG interpretations supported by clear, structured diagnostic reasoning.
  • Highlight nuanced differentials, edge cases, and subtle findings in ECG analysis.
  • Evaluate AI-generated interpretations for accuracy, depth of reasoning, and clinical reliability.
  • Identify common reasoning gaps and failure modes in model outputs.
  • Collaborate directly with research teams to improve the clinical robustness of AI systems.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
  • Completion of a cardiology fellowship (any subspecialty).
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-training clinical experience.
  • Currently practicing and based in the United States.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strongly Preferred

  • Fellowship training in Electrophysiology.
  • Primary clinical practice involving significant ECG interpretation volume.
  • Academic or teaching experience with residents or fellows.
  • Experience developing case-based assessments, examination questions, or clinical rubrics.
  • Advanced expertise in complex arrhythmia diagnosis, conduction abnormalities, and subtle ECG pattern recognition.

Screening Process

  • A brief interview (approximately 20–30 minutes total).
  • Discussion of your clinical background, subspecialty focus, and ECG expertise.

Engagement Details

  • This is an independent contractor engagement.
  • The role is fully remote and may be completed on a flexible schedule.
  • Project duration may vary depending on performance and evolving project needs.
  • The work does not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
  • Payments are issued weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
  • Please note: Visa sponsorship, including H1-B or STEM OPT support, is not available for this role.
