Civil Engineering Director

This pivotal role involves preparing site civil development plans, including site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D among other engineering software. As the Civil Engineering Director, you will manage a dedicated team of 6 engineers, fostering both in-office collaboration and remote efficiency, while steering the company's projects to success.

Civil Engineering Director Job Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive site civil development plans, including but not limited to site and paving plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, watermain plans, storm sewer plans, and sanitary sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Manage and oversee a team of 6 engineers, ensuring effective collaboration between 4 in-office and 2 remote team members.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and all levels of government regulatory agencies regarding engineering, permitting, and site development issues.
• Ensure all engineering projects comply with legal standards and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Required to have a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to be detailed, organized, and possess strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects and leading a team of engineers.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and various other engineering software.
• Experience working with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and government regulatory agencies on engineering, permitting, and site development issues.
