ShortList is recruiting for a Client Service Associate for a specialist investment advisory firm with an established client base of credit unions and banks across the United States.

The Client Service Associate will sit at the centre of the client experience, supporting senior Business Development leaders across a growing book of institutional relationships. You will own the preparation of client reports, performance materials, and pitchbooks, coordinate onboarding and day-to-day service activity, and work with investment data across fixed income and equity strategies to keep every deliverable accurate, polished, and on time.

This is not a back-office administration appointment. We are looking for someone who wants to be client-facing from day one, with the attention to detail and professional polish to represent the firm in front of institutional clients and the ambition to grow into relationship management or business development.

Key Requirements for the Client Service Associate

• Up to three years of experience in financial services, client service, or sales support. Strong internship experience will be considered
  


• A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  


• A genuine interest in investments, portfolio management, or financial institutions
  


• Familiarity with investment products, client reporting, or sales support materials is a plus
  


• Knowledge of credit union or bank investment regulations is helpful but not required
  


• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
  

Key Skills required for the Client Service Associate

• Able to produce polished, accurate, client-ready reports, decks, and presentation materials
  


• Capable of supporting client meetings, calls, and webinars, including preparation, materials, and follow-up
  


• Experienced in building and maintaining sales materials such as pitchbooks, proposals, fact sheets, and educational presentations
  


• Confident coordinating across investment, operations, analytics, marketing, and compliance teams to hit client deadlines
  


• Skilled at tracking service requests, action items, and CRM records so nothing slips through the cracks
  


• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel. CRM or reporting tool experience is a plus
  


• Bias toward ownership: when a client needs something, the instinct is to take it and see it through
  

Ideally, we are looking for candidates from asset managers, investment advisory firms, bank or credit union investment programmes, or client service teams within financial services.

This Client Service Associate role is fully remote with occasional trips to the Head Office in Dallas TX. You must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder. I can not consider applications requiring sponsorship at this time.
