Job Description


The Clinical Application Manager (CAM) is to provide management direction,  and leadership to the Clinical Application Specialist team (CAS). In this role you will manage  logistics, P&L and schedule of our CAS team to support  all current and new customers, as well as support our sales team to grow  the commercial  pipeline with  clinical education and support  of the Perimeter technology in the operating room. 



Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:



  • Manage the logistics to deploy the CAS team for on-site product demonstrations, technical and procedural support for fast paced live surgical settings.

  • Work closely with clinical education team to develop and implement a hands on, in-depth training and continuing education based on the needs of the team  

  • Work cross-functionally to schedule in-field education and training with customers 

  • Work closely with Sales leadership on a team-based approach between our CAS team and sales team to support current customers and prospects 

  • Assisting Product Management with customer communication, understanding how customer issues, and clinical use/application of new products

  • Assist in developing and delivering training materials, SOPs and clinical education programs.

  • Track and document support questions and answers, creating and updating knowledge base.



  • Learn a new imaging technology and become the expert for interpretation and device use in the OR when called upon for support in the OR, trade show support and site visits to critical customer accounts.



  • Analyze/monitor customer issues for trends to facilitate process improvements.

  • Manage the process of requesting a redacted pathology report to produce a compelling business case for our customers to acquire our technology after a successful evaluation. 

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate product issues or customer complaints that occur in the field from the CAS team and report back through the correct company channels. 

  • Help to ensure that the company’s clinical and sales objectives are met by leading the CAS team culture, morale, customer service.

  • Interface with internal/external customers, Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Field Service and Quality/Regulatory, Product

  • Align the CAS team to a procedure volume quota to meet or exceed quota.

  • Help recruit, mentor and retain top clinical talent to expand the CAS team in alignment with commercial growth plans and market needs

  • Establish scalable processes for onboarding, development, and performance management of CAS team members.

  • Drive field-based clinical strategies to expand customer adoption

  • Serve as strategic thought partner in shaping the clinical team’s structure, KPIs, and culture as the company scales.



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 10 years of clinical industry experience

  • 5+ years leading a dispersed team located throughout the US Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (~3 days per week when needed including overnight, some weekends and holidays) within the U.S.

  • Willingness to provide technical and procedural support in a fast-paced live surgical environment

  • Must be willing to satisfy medical credentialing agency requirements, including proof of specific immunizations and titers, background checks, and drug screening

  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate technical concepts

  • High degree of professionalism and ability to communicate effectively

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in the English language
