Clinical Manager

Position Summary

The Clinical Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing a team of Nurse Practitioners {NPs) and other clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and organizational policies. The Clinical Manager combines clinical expertise with administrative skills to support staff, optimize workflows, and contribute to the strategic goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Management

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of NPs and other clinical team members


• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for new NPs and clinical staff


• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and effective workload distribution


• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, addressing conflicts and concerns as needed

Clinical Oversight

• Monitor and support NP clinical decision-making to ensure the highest standard of patient care


• Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain clinical expertise and supplement staffing


• Serve as a clinical resource and guide staff in implementing evidence-based practices


• Oversee documentation practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with EHR requirements

Operational Management

• Collaborate with leadership to establish and monitor clinical goals, policies, and procedures


• Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for clinical operations


• Implement and monitor workflows to optimize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks


• Analyze key performance metrics (e.g., patient outcomes, satisfaction scores) and develop improvement strategies

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and licensure requirements


• Oversee quality assurance initiatives, such as peer reviews, chart audits, and patient safety protocols


• Lead the clinic's efforts in accreditation or certification processes, as applicable

Strategic Planning and Collaboration

• Partner with medical and administrative leadership to align clinical operations with organizational goals


• Act as a liaison between clinical staff and management, communicating updates, policies, and feedback effectively


• Participate in strategic planning initiatives to enhance service delivery and expand patient access

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required


• 5+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner


• 2+ years of leadership/people management experience in a clinical setting


• Functional Medicine experience required


• Experience with Telemedicine 1+ year


• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Proficiency in EHR systems and clinical management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)


• Certifications specific to the specialty (e.g., FNP, AGNP, PNP) as required


• NP license in TX and/or CA and FL preferred


• Project Management experience preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily remote setting for telehealth visits


• Remote work environment; home office or dedicated workspace required


• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision


• Virtual meetings via video conferencing (camera on expected)


• Reliable high-speed internet connection required


• Must maintain a distraction-free, professional background for video calls
