Job Description - Clinical Nutrition Manager II

The Clinical Nutrition Manager II will oversee the clinical nutrition program at Altru Health System, a new multi-specialty acute care facility in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This role involves managing a team of 4 Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks in both inpatient and outpatient settings. With order writing privileges, Registered Dietitians will practice at the top of their scope while providing direct patient care approximately 20% of the time. You will collaborate with the implementation of Sodexos meal service program and foster professional development within your team.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree with required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by ACEND

  • Minimum of 13 months of management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of functional experience in clinical nutrition

Education Requirements

  • Masters degree in Nutrition or related field
  • Bachelors degree with required coursework and supervised practice for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) eligibility by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • State certification/licensure as required

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience
  • Experience in supervising and directing clinical nutrition teams

1. Do you have a Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

2. For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

3. Do you have a Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

4. Do you meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

5. Do you have Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.

6. Do you have a minimum Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

7. Do you have a minimum Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners

8. Do you have Registered Dietitian credentials

9. Do you have Acute care clinical experience

10. Do you have supervisory or management experience

11. Do you have experience with regulatory accreditation, regulatory readiness and review, and establishing and maintaining standards of care.

12. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
