Job Description - Cloud FinOps Manager (all)

With a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and industry leadership, 1NCE is set to change the game.Be a part of our team and lead all Cloud Financial Operations with AWS as your primary focus!
  • Set and evolve 1NCE’s Cloud FinOps strategy so that cloud spending, business goals, and financial targets stay in sync.
  • Build and run cost‑visibility tooling—dashboards, unit‑economics metrics, and regular reports—covering all AWS workloads.
  • Drive cost‑optimization with engineering (right‑sizing, auto‑scaling, scheduling, savings plans, reserved instances) and serve as the main AWS Enterprise Support liaison.
  • Lead monthly/quarterly financial reviews and partner with Finance to forecast budgets, track variances, and deliver clear insights to the CFO and executive team.
  • Define governance and policies that control cloud spend across departments while promoting cloud‑cost accountability and FinOps training for engineers.
  • Benchmark spend versus industry norms and create executive‑level presentations highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous infrastructure improvement.
  • Deep Cloud‑Cost Mastery (AWS‑first)
    • 5 + years hands‑on with AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, Savings Plans, Compute Optimizer, and robust tagging/allocation strategies
    • Proven history of driving end‑to‑end savings initiatives that cut run‑rate spend
  • Finance‑Grade Analytics & Modeling
    • Builds budgets, variance analyses, and TCO/ROI models from raw usage data
    • Comfortable with QuickSight, Tableau, or Looker; SQL/Python scripting is a plus
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership
    • Acts as the bridge among DevOps, Engineering, Finance, and Executive teams
    • Communicates technical cost drivers in clear business terms to speed decision‑making
  • Automation & Real‑Time Reporting
    • Creates self‑service dashboards and CI/CD‑aware cost guardrails
    • Implements lightweight scripts or IaC hooks to keep governance scalable
  • Credibility Credentials
    • Bachelor’s (STEM/Finance) and at least one relevant certification (AWS Solutions Architect / Cloud Practitioner, FinOps Certified Practitioner)
  • Executive‑Level Soft Skills
    • Strong storytelling, attention to detail, proactive ownership, and English C1 +
    • Comfortable presenting to board‑level audiences and driving continuous improvement
