Location: Remote, field-based in San Francisco Bay area or Sacramento CA

Reports To: Regional Sales Leader

Position Summary

The Coatings & Restoration Specialist will support our Building Envelope Solutions (BES) business. In this role, you'll partner with architects, consultants, contractors, engineers, and distributors by providing technical expertise, product training, and project support while driving sales growth throughout your assigned territory. This would have a heavy focus on Northern California (SF Bay area and north, Sacramento/Modesto area), CA Central Valley (Fresno/Visalia area), and Northern Nevada (Reno area).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and product recommendations to customers 
• Sales support responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing job leads to contractors, processing substitution requests, developing contacts/repeat customers in the contractor, architectural, consultant, engineering and distribution
• Develop and execute a sales strategy in a specific region
• Supports National Technical Services manager with waterproofing and air and vapor barrier installation and design needs 
• Develops technical guide for installation instructions, CAD drawings/system details, specifications, etc.
• Provides support to contractors, specifiers, consultants, architects and building owners onsite, in person, or via conference calls to ensure successful project completions 
• Provide Voice of Customer (VoC) from the field to product management and R&D for new product development projects 
• Support the BES training for both internal and external parties
• Manage relationships and promote Polyglass image/goals within requested industry associations (for example IIBEC, CSI, SWRI, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of related industry experience in technical or sales role
• Background in technical services or sales
• Strong presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction, waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope industry
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering or business-related field

Location & Travel

• Remote position
• Up to 30% travel within the assigned territory
