Commercial Field Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:

OGD Overhead Garage Door is seeking an experienced Commercial Field Operations Supervisor to join our growing team, supporting commercial doors and dock equipment. The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on field experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial overhead doors, rollups, dock levelers, and dock equipment, and will be comfortable diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and structural issues from a description or live video feed.

This position is responsible for providing real-time phone and video support to field technicians on active commercial door and dock equipment jobs, drawing on trade-tested field experience to help techs diagnose and resolve problems quickly, while maintaining clear communication and the highest standards of technical accuracy. This is an office-based, no-travel role built for a tradesperson transitioning off the ladder into a senior support and mentorship position — not an entry-level dispatch role or an IT/technical-support position.

Responsibilities:

• Take incoming calls and chat requests from field technicians who are stuck on a job
• Walk techs through diagnosis and repair in real time, using live video to see exactly what they’re seeing
• Draw on your own field experience to identify root causes fast — electrical, mechanical, or structural
• Help techs think through commercial door, rollup, dock leveler, and dock equipment issues they haven’t seen before
• Document recurring issues and help build out internal troubleshooting resources
• Be a mentor voice for less experienced techs, without ever leaving your desk
• Other job duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Multiple years of hands-on field experience installing and servicing commercial overhead doors, rollups, dock levelers, and dock equipment — this is non-negotiable; we need someone who has done the work
• The ability to visualize a problem from a description or a video feed and talk someone through a fix step by step
• Patience and clear communication — you'll be coaching people who are standing in front of the problem while you're not
• Comfort with phones, video calls, and basic computer navigation (training provided) — no IT or technical-support background needed
• A desire to stay in the trade you know, just from a chair instead of a truck

Work Location:

• Remote role, with the flexibility to travel to Fort Worth, TX as needed
• Candidates must currently reside in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM (Central Time)
