Community Manager

The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is currently recruiting a Community Manager to join our dedicated team. This exciting role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in our efforts to conserve and restore the wildlife and wild places of South Carolina by managing and enhancing our community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities

The Community Manager has a multi-faceted role, which includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage our online community and social media strategy to increase engagement, drive traffic, and attract potential new members and donors.
• Plan and organize community-based events and campaigns that promote our conservation work and increase public awareness of our mission.
• Become a vital link between our foundation and the community by moderating online and offline conversations with our community and responding to comments and requests in a timely manner.
• Analyze community engagement data to better understand our community’s needs and tailor our strategies and campaigns accordingly.
• Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure our messaging is consistent and aligned with our overall goals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in community management or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and growing online communities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven ability to build relationships and engage with diverse groups of people.
• A deep understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools.
• Experience organizing events and campaigns, especially in a non-profit context, is preferred.
• A passion for wildlife conservation and a commitment to our mission is a must.
