Construction Laborer

We are looking for an experienced Construction Laborer who will be a key member of our construction services crew that builds water and wastewater treatment plants. 

The present project being recruited for is in Bakersfield, CA. The Laborer should be located in the Kern County or Los Angeles County, CA area, but must be willing and able to travel throughout the State of California for future projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform general construction activities while learning multiple trade skills.
• Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively including shovels, compactors, jackhammers, saws, drills, etc.
• Assist with trenching and backfilling and general sitework operations.
• Help install mechanical equipment, including piping and related components.
• Take accurate measurements.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
• Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines at all times. Complete all activities in a safe and efficient manner. 
• Be a good team player and successfully take direction from supervisors. 

• A minimum of 1 year of industrial, civil or commercial construction experience 
• Extensive experience with hand and power tools of all types.
• Experience with all the above-mentioned responsibilities. 
• Can run a skid steer for basic operations. Willing and able to learn to run other equipment. 
• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outside for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from the jobsite 
• Able to pass a drug test

Wage range: $24-$30/hour
