About the project

Fixpoint is hiring Nuclear Power Reactor Operators for a research project at a leading AI company. You will use your expertise to explain the challenges and skillsets of your job, explain what excellence looks like in your profession, and design questions related to your occupation as a Nuclear Power Reactor Operators.

You're a good fit if you have experience with:

• Operate nuclear power reactors in accordance with policies and procedures to protect workers from radiation and to ensure environmental safety.
• Adjust controls to position rod and to regulate flux level, reactor period, coolant temperature, or rate of power flow, following standard procedures.
• Develop or implement actions such as lockouts, tagouts, or clearances to allow equipment to be safely repaired.
• Respond to system or unit abnormalities, diagnosing the cause, and recommending or taking corrective action.
• Monitor all systems for normal running conditions, performing activities such as checking gauges to assess output or the effects of generator loading on other equipment.

Must-have qualifications

• Have 5+ years full-time work experience in Utilities.
• Native-level English skills
• U.S. residency
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet.
• Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3- to 4-week engagement (work is fully asynchronous and on your own schedule).

Compensation & logistics

• Hourly pay: $60 – $130, commensurate with experience and project fit.
• Hourly rate may be higher for exceptional candidates
• Paid weekly via Fixpoint, based on approved hours.
• You will be classified as 1099 independent-contractor status; engagement is at-will.
• Entirely remote; work whenever you like as long as deadlines are met.
