The Opportunity
Description

We're looking for a Remote Customer Service Representative, working in the Insurance industry in Dallas, Texas, United States.

  • Receive and respond to incoming calls from investmentprofessionals, plan sponsors and members on a variety of topics.
  • Understand the different product suites, includingcurrent line-up and products no longer sold that still require servicing.
  • Interpret and apply all changes andenhancements to new and old products, based on the daily change communications.
  • Identify the question(s) behind the question toproactively offer consultative expertise and uncover the unstated need.
  • Maintain a record of the conversations and follow aprocess of documentation to support the strategy of knowing the member betterthan anyone and use the information in a way that drives the relationshipdeeper.
  • Follow all rules and regulations to ensure compliancewith FINRA or other professional licensure requirements, Nationwide policies,firms, plan documents and state and local laws.
  • Educate customers to ensure understanding of taximplications, penalties/surrender charges, death benefit protection, lifetimeincome, capital preservation and/or benefits pertaining to the plan/contract.
  • Analyze problems to determine proper course of action,striving for first time final resolution.
  • When necessary, work with internal partners to resolveescalated issues.
  • Integrate lean methodology into daily interactionsthrough problem-solving meetings and team huddles.
  • Develop and grow through monthly individual meetings withleadership to set in place a career path strategy.
  • Set goals and expectations to achieve success in the roleas well as future opportunities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required for Your Success
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Undergraduatedegree in finance, business administration, insurance, economics,communications highly preferred)
  • At least 6 months customer service experience
  • Call center experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of FINRA regulations, professional licensure requirements, and relevant laws governing financial services and insurance industries
  • Thorough familiarity with Nationwide policies and procedures, as well as the ability to interpret and apply them in daily operations
  • Great attention to detail
  • Experience in navigating multiple systems at once
  • Ability to handle inquiries, complaints, and issues with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Abilityto build rapport with customers quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
